Today, Wooly gets a whole lot more powerful.
For a long time, we resisted adding certain power features to Wooly. We worried that more options would mean more complexity.
But teachers kept asking for the same things: more flexibility, more student-level control, more powerful assignments...and yes, more fun.
So we finally went for it.
Wooly Premium
Wooly Premium is our new upgraded tier of Señor Wooly, built for teachers who want more flexibility, more control over assignments, and more ways to personalize Wooly for individual students.
And before I go any further: nothing has been taken away from regular Wooly.
What happened to my current Wooly license?
Your existing Wooly license has a new name: Wooly Essentials.
But fear not! Nothing has been taken away. Essentials is the same Wooly you already know and love, with the same videos, graphic novels, Nuggets, lesson plans, and student accounts.

Turn up the fun with Challenges
Turn Wooly eLearning activities into a live competition. Students compete solo or in teams, earning coins and racing up the leaderboard.
Design assignments your way
Premium opens up a whole new level of flexibility in how you create assignments. Mix and match stories, set different goals, give students choices, and decide what counts toward completion.
The basic idea is simple: rather than Wooly deciding exactly how an assignment has to work, you get to decide.
Personalize Wooly for individual students
This was another big request from teachers.
Premium lets you unlock Stories and create assignments for individual students without changing anything for the rest of the class.
So if one student needs additional support, a different Story, a different challenge, or simply a different path through Wooly, you can do that without restructuring the assignment for everyone else.

What’s the difference between Wooly Essentials and Wooly Premium?
The simplest answer is this:
Essentials is Wooly.
Premium is Wooly plus additional teacher controls, customization, differentiation tools, Challenges, and Premium perks.
If you don't need those additional tools, Essentials is still the full Wooly experience.
If you want more control over assignments and individual students, or you want to bring things like Challenges into your classroom, that's where Premium comes in.
