Illustrator: Juan Carlos Pinilla Melo

Over the past year, I have had the pleasure of working with the extremely talented Juan Carlos Pinilla Melo.  

The sheer amount of work that he has released on this site is mind-boggling.  He created an original illustration for every single one of my main stories (19 in total!).  Each one was created entirely from scratch.  

One of my personal favorites is his illustration for Billy y las Botas 2:

But that's not all.  In addition to the story banners, he also created lots of smaller illustrations that you'll see sprinkled throughout the student curriculum.  

For example, here's one he created for the story Me Duele, in order to represent the phrase "tener fiebre":

It is extremely hard to find an artist with such talent, hard work, and dedication.  And on top of that, he is an absolute pleasure to work with.  This site would not be the same without him.

Originally from Bogotá, Colombia, Juan Carlos currently resides in Elgin, Illinois.
