Frequently Asked Questions
What exactly comes with full-site access?
By purchasing a subscription, you get access to:
- All of the videogames
- Every single song I've ever published
- 16 videos, with many more on the way.
- 22 Karaoke Videos
- Downloadable, printable lyrics that also include two cloze activities per song (along with more printable activities to be released this year)
Most important, you get an extra account for your students so they can look at all of the materials from home. You might be surprised to learn that my largest group of users is not teachers, but rather students who watch stuff at home on their own time.
If I subscribe to full-site access, why would I buy your CDs and DVD? Don't I already have access to everything?
Yes, full-site access allows you to view everything. However, the reasons you might want physical copies of the CD and DVD include:
- Perhaps your school's internet is not always reliable or fast.
- Perhaps you don't want to have to subscribe each year to continue using the materials.
- You want to OWN the materials. Therefore, if SenorWooly.com were to go out of business, you will still be able to access them.
What's the point of a extra student account? Can't I just let them use my account?
Sure, but then they have your username and password. Plus, they can change your password, add comments under your name, etc. It's much easier and safer to have to separate accounts.
Is there any difference between a teacher and student account?
Yes, although the difference is small. Students have access to everything on the site with the exception of the profile page. By doing this, they cannot change the username, password, profile picture, etc.
If my school buys a student account, can all the students at my school use that one account?
In the ideal world, each teacher would purchase a separate account (and would each receive their own complementary student account). However, I'm not going to lay down any specific rules. If your department does not have much money, then do what you have to. Of course, if I find out that one student account is being used by a thousand people, I will definitely deactivate that account.
I originally designed JamesWooldridge.com to be a homework and tutoring site for my Spanish students. Later, I added music and videos, but they weren't part of the original design. With SenorWooly.com, I wanted to build a new site from scratch that would better showcase my music and videos.
Students, you should not pay for a subscription. That is for your teacher or school to do.
When teachers buy a subscription to SenorWooly.com, they receive two accounts: one for themselves, and a second one for their students. This other account is for you to use at home or in the computer lab.
If your teacher is showing you Sr. Wooly videos at school, he or she might already have an account. Ask them if they have ever set up a student account.
If your teacher does not have a Sr. Wooly account, then tell them about my site. Send him or her an email about it. It will mean a lot more coming from you than from me.
That said, if you want to help support the site, please consider downloading a couple of songs on iTunes. Search for James Wooldridge.
I am trying to create my teacher and student account, but I find the whole setup to be confusing. Can you explain it to me?
Please watch this short tutorial video on how to create teacher and student accounts. If you're still confused after watching, please email me.
How do you make your music?
I use a combination of keyboarding and pre-recorded loops. When I first started writing music, I primarily used GarageBand. Some of my earlier songs like La Invitación are entirely composed with pre-recorded loops. However, as time went on, I started adding more and more of my own keyboarding. Of course, I don't even remotely consider myself a great musician. I just like to mess around and have fun.
I hate PayPal. Can I pay in some other form?
If you want to discuss other payment options, please email me.
